Ingredients

  • 12 Slider Buns
  • 1 pound Shredded Chicken smoked chicken, rotisserie, or shredded BBQ chicken
  • 12 ounces bacon
  • 6 slices Cheddar Cheese
  • 1 cup Ranch Dressing homemade or store-bought
  • 1 tablespoon butter
  • ¼ teaspoon Garlic Powder
  • Fresh Herbs I used dill and chives to bring out the ranch flavors, optional

Instructions

  • Preheat the oven to 400F. Chop and cook bacon over medium-high heat until crispy. Remove with a slotted spoon and reserve on a plate lined with a paper towel until ready to use. Cover and warm the chicken in the microwave for 1-2 minutes and reserve.
  • Slice slider buns in half and add to a sheet pan, bottom side up, top side down (see post above for photos). Add a layer of shredded chicken to the bottom buns, about 1 ounce per slider. Top the chicken with the sliced cheddar cheese, then top with chopped cooked bacon. Don't skimp on the bacon!
  • In a microwave-safe dish, melt the butter and garlic powder in the microwave and brush a thin layer on the top of the slider buns. Bake the sliders for 7-10 minutes or until the cheese is melted and the top of the buns are toasted.
  • Remove from oven, drizzle the bacon side with ranch dressing (add fresh herbs if desired), and top with the toasted slider bun tops. Using a spatula, carefully transfer to a cutting board, slice into individual siders, and serve with more ranch dressing on the side for dipping.

Notes

Reheating, Storage + Freezing Instructions

To store: Store any leftover sliders, in the fridge, in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
To reheat: Reheat the full sider in the oven for 10 minutes at 375F. Or reheat in the air fryer at 350F for 5-6 minutes.
Freezing is not recommended.

Tips and Tricks for Extra Tasty Sliders

    • Make homemade ranch dressing: Making ranch dressing from scratch elevates these sliders and adds lots of extra flavor. Check out this restaurant ranch dressing recipe.
    • Crispy bacon adds texture: The cheese, chicken, and slider buns all have a soft texture. To create textural contrast, make sure your bacon is extra crispy, but not burned.
    • Don't overload the sliders: Use about 1 oz of chicken per slider. Too much chicken can make the slider soggy.
    • Use fresh herbs to reinforce ranch flavor: Adding fresh herbs as a garnish, like dill and chives will make the ranch flavor shine.
