I’m a new food blogger BUT a long time restaurant owner, cook and recipe creator. My passion for food started very early in life. I’ve been creating recipes for almost 30 years and recently, decided to share what I’m cooking up in the kitchen.
My food journey began when I was 15 and started working for bakeries. I loved it! From there I took culinary classes and worked in some fine dining establishments as a prep and line cook. Before I knew it, I owned my own place: a gourmet pizza restaurant. After 10 years the pizza business was sold. I went on to work for wineries and did lots of private catering, part-time, while I pursued a career as an Esthetician (skin care guru + lash artist).
After almost 10 years in the beauty industry, I realized how much I missed the food industry decided to return. I'm excited to continue my food journey here and share my experiences with you!
Originally from Sonoma County, CA, I moved to Portland, OR in 2014. I currently live in Portland with my boyfriend, Gregrey, and our happy and chunky kitty, Lena. On days off you can find me out hiking around, getting dirty in my garden or spending quality time with friends and family.
What you’ll find on this website
The recipes you’ll find on here are all inspired by popular restaurant dishes I have made professionally over years or that I've had at my favorite restaurants. I recreate these dishes so that you can quickly and easily make delicious food in the comfort of your own home. I love finding inspiration everywhere.
While I cook a little of everything, I create several recipes that cater to vegan, vegetarian and Whole30 diets BUT I try not to limit what I create in the kitchen.
My goal is to share food everyone will enjoy without feeling deprived. (And share food that tastes so good you don’t even notice it’s good for you.)
What kind of diet do you follow?
I'm always trying out new diets and ways of eating. Right now I'm eating mostly Paleo/Whole30 but normally eat vegetarian during the week and try to eat pretty healthy. I plan on having quite a few healthy recipes like this Cucumber and Orange Salad as time goes on. I try to balance the decadent with the healthy.

When I first started this project I had no idea how much time and energy it would take. I didn't know that I would soon learn web design, SEO and the entire technical world of running a food blog. That alone is a full time job - for sure! I knew that I would be working on photography and writing skills, but that is such a small piece of this whole project. That said, it's a lot of fun and I'm so happy I can share this with you. So again, thank you for being here. 🙂
