Equipment

Ingredients

  • ½ cup Thai sweet chili sauce bottled, I used the one from Trader Joe's
  • 2 tablespoons light soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon mirin or 1 tablespoon rice vinegar + 1 tablespoon sugar
  • 2 cloves garlic minced
  • 1 teaspoon fresh ginger grated
  • 1 teaspoon Sriracha optional for more heat

Instructions

  • Combine chili sauce, soy sauce, mirin, garlic, and ginger in a small saucepan. Simmer for 2–3 minutes over medium heat. Stir in Sriracha if you prefer a slightly spicier flavor.
  • In a medium mixing bowl, toss with hot wings, plate, and serve immediately.
  • Keeps well refrigerated in an airtight container for up to 7 days.

Notes

No Mirin?  Mirin is a sweet rice vinegar.  If you don't have mirin on hand, you can use 1 tablespoon of rice vinegar and 1 tablespoon of sugar instead.
