Instructions
Place the chicken breasts on a plate or tray. Sprinkle both sides generously with salt, pepper, garlic powder, and Italian seasoning. Drizzle with olive oil and rub everything in to evenly coat the chicken all over. Let the seasoned chicken sit at room temperature for 30 to 45 minutes (no longer than 1 hour). This resting time helps the chicken cook more evenly and stay tender and juicy throughout.
Preheat your air fryer to 375°F for 2–3 minutes.
Place the chicken breasts in the basket, leaving space between each piece for air to circulate. Cook at 375°F for 14 minutes, depending on the size and thickness of the chicken breasts (see notes below for more cooking times). Flip the chicken halfway through cooking—around the 7-minute mark.
After 14 minutes, check for doneness using a meat thermometer. You're looking for an internal temperature of 165°F in the thickest part.
Once fully cooked, remove the chicken from the air fryer and let it rest for 10 minutes before slicing or serving. This allows the juices to redistribute and keeps the chicken moist.
Notes
? Meal Prep Tip: If you’re making this for the week, leave the breasts whole and slice or dice them as you need them. This keeps them fresher and juicier for longer.
